How Do You Interrogate In Ghost Recon Wildlands?
A simple question with a simple answer. If you want to interrogate in Ghost Recon Wildlands, all you have to do is walk up to your target and press a couple of buttons. Here are the buttons you will need to push in order to interrogate your target.
To Interrogate in Ghost Recon Wildlands on PS4
Walk up to your target and grab them with the Square button. Once you have your target in your grasp, you can hold down the Triangle button and you will begin to interrogate your hostage.
How to Interrogate in Ghost Recon Wildlands on Xbox One
Similar to interrogating on the PS4, you walk up to your target and press X to grab them. Once you have a firm hold on them, you can begin your interrogation by pressing the Y button.
Interrogating a Target in Wildlands on PC
With the same concept as the Xbox and PS4, you walk up to your target and press E on your keyboard to grab them. Once you have a grip on the target, press B on your keyboard and your target will tell you everything they know (or at least they will if they know what’s good for them).
More on Interrogating Successfully in Wildlands
It sounds quite simple to just walk up and press a couple of buttons and get your intel. Usually this is not the case. It will require a bit of preplanning, some tactics, and quick action to get to your target before they take off into the beautiful Bolivian sunset. Below are some tips to help you reach your target and interrogate them successfully.
You will want to start by scanning the area with your binoculars or your drone. Get a good idea of how many enemies are in the area. Also, keep an eye out for vehicles near your intended target. Most of the time if you do not reach your interrogation target quickly then they will jump in a car, truck, or even on motorcycle and take off. If they get to far you will lose them and have to start the process all over.
Work Your Way Inward
Let’s say you have scanned the area, now you need to start dropping some Santa Blanca dots off your map. Start by taking out any snipers and gun turrets. These guys will give you hell if you get caught. Once you have these guys taken care of, move on to the stragglers. Start taking out any of the Santa Blanca guys that are roaming solo. You can usually find them talking on their cell phones (I bet that’s against company policy…should have read the New Employee Handbook).
You should now have a pretty clear path to move in closer and start taking down a few of the other targets. If you find there are groups of targets close together, you will want to use your Sync Shot ability. This will allow you to drop up to 4 targets at the same time. Continue this method of working inward until you get close to your target. Remember to be patient and take your time. As long as you remain undetected, your interrogation target will not run.
Grabbing and Interrogating
The time has come, you have reached your target. It’s time to pounce and make your move. Sometimes you will do this without any enemies around, if so, that’s great. Other times you will be interrogating a target while still under heavy fire. If you find yourself grabbing your target and you are still being shot at there are a couple of things to keep in mind.
As they say in the game, “Corpses don’t talk.” So if you are going to grab someone in the middle of an OK Corral gunfight, don’t let your target die. Drag them inside a building or someplace safe before you actually interrogate them. There is also the option of stuffing them in the trunk of a vehicle, this can backfire on you if the vehicle blows up. But if you aren’t worried about doing anything else in the area, you can stuff your guy in the trunk, jump in the drivers seat and take off. Once you are a safe distance away you can pull them out and do your thing.
The last thing to remember when you want to interrogate in Ghost Recon Wildlands is if your target dies, you have to start over. I mentioned it before, but I wanted to mention it again because it really sucks having to start the process over. If you find your target is going to run and you are in a bad position, then call for a rebel support vehicle and chase them down. It is better than losing your guy and having to do it all again.
What if They Run?
Personally, the car chases are one of my favorite parts of Wildlands. I find it fun cutting through the countryside running over cows and sheep before finally heading off my target. This is exactly what you will need to do if your interrogation target decides to make a run for it. Just get into a vehicle as quickly as possible, and start chasing them down. You will see opportunities as your target comes up around sharp corners. Usually you can make your own shortcut around these super tight U-turn areas, and if you are lucky you can slam into the side of the guys vehicle.
Sometimes your target will have an escort or the Unidad will miraculously show up. If this is the case, take down as many enemies as you can and grab your target. Get your target stuffed in a trunk or back seat or whatever, then get out of there. Get to a safe place and do your interrogation.
That’s all there is to this How to Interrogate in Ghost Recon Wildlands Guide. Just remember to take your time and be patient. Wildlands is a stealth game, and thus, you should use every advantage of stealth that you can. Try using flashbangs if your target is in a room with a few other enemies. The key is quick and decisive action. It isn’t the end of the world if you have to start over, it just sucks because it can take forever to recon and clear an area. And rarely are the conditions every exactly the same (at least not right away). Hopefully this guide will help you enjoy your Ghost Recon Wildlands gameplay a little more.
