Ghost Recon Wildlands Gameplay Sniper Playstyle
The Ghost Recon Wildlands gameplay for a sniper is kind of self-explanatory. A sniper is someone who takes down their targets from a distance while staying out of sight. To excel at becoming a sniper in Wildlands, you want to make sure you have a good sniper rifle and the proper skills.
The sniper playstyle won’t always work for every situation. You will eventually have to get in and get the job done on your missions. You can take out quite a few of your enemy targets undetected though, if you are sneaky and have a steady shot. Below is a video of Malvicious from Malvicious PSN with a 726 meter sniper kill.
Weapons of Choice Main Weapon
You will want to keep a sniper rifle equipped as your primary weapon if you are going with the sniper playstyle. The type of sniper rifle you will want to use depends on what is more important to you with your Ghost Recon Wildlands gameplay. You can choose from power, accuracy, or find a good combination of both.
Power – HTI
Range and Accuracy – MSR
A good combination of both power and accuracy – L115A3
The HTI is located in Montuyoc
The MSR is located in Montuyoc
The L115AA3 is located in Monte Puncu
You will want to mod your sniper rifle to enhance your range and accuracy. You can drop a target with a single shot in most cases. Note that the MTI can take down a chopper with a single shot if it does not have the silencer equipped. Single shot chopper takedowns can come in very useful when under attack by Unidad or stopping a convoy that has a helicopter escort.
Stick with an assault rifle that has a good scope. Use a trigger weapon mod that allows you to switch from semi-auto to fully automatic. Using an assault rifle as a secondary will give you better protection if the enemy starts to close in on you.
A good assault rifle is the 805 Bren A2 with a suppressor

You should focus on accuracy, range, and handling with your assault rifle. A good scope, underbarrel attachment, and the right butt stock will give you an advantage over your targets. You can technically snipe your targets from a distance, and move in as you “thin the herd.” Having an easy to handle assault rifle will make cleaning house much easier.
As a sniper, if you find yourself in a situation where you need a handgun, there is a good chance you are going to need some power behind your shots. The D-50 would come in useful here. The D-50 packs some good power.

Ghost Recon Wildlands Gameplay – Sniper Playstyle Skills
Stable Aim will help you steady your shot; this should be on the top of your list.
Binoculars zoom will help you identify targets easier and faster.
Drone Skills will help you as a sniper. You should focus on three drone skills as soon as you can. The drone skills you will want are range, battery, and mark area. With range and battery you will be able to take your drone further out and for longer periods of time. With the mark area drone skill you will be able to spot targets easier and faster.
Stamina will be a good skill to obtain because it will allow you to run quickly to new spots to take out different targets.
Advanced Suppressor will allow you to deal more damage with your silencer equipped. Though not a top priority, it will help you out in the tougher zones.
Priority Skills List
- Stable Aim
- Binocular Zoom
- Advanced Suppressor
- Mark Area
Sniper Playstyle Summary
Being a good sniper during your Ghost Recon Wildlands gameplay career can be a lot of fun. You can set a self-competition to try and beat your longest shot. Something to keep in mind when shooting from long distances in Wildlands is that there is gravity. When you are shooting at a target from 180 meters your bullet will not drop much. If you are shooting at a target from around 500 meters, you will want to take into account the bullet drop. Aim high and be patient when trying to take down a target from a longer distance.
Snipers undoubtedly add a sense of security to a well-rounded multiplayer team. A good sniper will be able to spot the targets and clear a path for his comrades to get in and complete the mission. Do your best to go unnoticed. If you miss a target the enemy will be on alert and start looking for the source of the shots.
