Is Ghost Recon Wildlands Worth It? Here is Some Gameplay Insight
Is Ghost Recon Wildlands worth it? Read this article to find out what we think here at Play Games Guides. Recently I did a review on Wildlands that gives you a good idea of what the game is like. This post is meant to go a little further and discuss the actual gameplay environment. Knowing whether or not you would want to buy Ghost Recon Wildlands may be a tough decision. The goal here is to help you make that decision.
Starting out in Wildlands, you will create your character. There are quite a few cool customization options. You can also unlock quite a few other options by completing the story content. Once you have created your character you enter the game. This is where the fun begins because you are free to roam anywhere you want. You can jump on a motorcycle or drive a truck or car to your first destination.
You are given a mission right away to gather some intel. Gathering intel is the lifeblood of your missions. This Intel guides you on your way along the story of the game. Another great feature that might help you decide if Ghost Recon Wildlands is worth it is that you can follow your own path. You can complete the story in the game in any order that you choose. This option gives you the freedom to do things your way.
Going Deeper in the Game
Once you complete a few missions you will notice that you can also gather a different type of Intel. This Intel will tell you where skill points, side missions, weapons upgrades and lockers are located. You could spend an entire gaming session just going around one province picking up some weapons upgrades. This is actually something I would recommend doing. The more weapons you have in your arsenal, the better prepared you will be for your next encounter.
Does Ghost Recon Support Online Play?
Absolutely, Ghost Recon Wildlands supports online play. It makes the game that much more fun also. You can be a gunner on a helicopter while your buddy flies you into a hot zone. This is one of the features that really makes Ghost Recon Wildlands worth it in my opinion. The solo play is nice because you can move at your own pace and try new things out. The online play adds the social aspect to the game and it also makes for some crazy fun times. You can really mess with your buddies in game if you want to. You can’t shoot your group members, but you sure can blow them up in some creative ways.
Aside from blowing up your friends, you can complete missions together. Even if you haven’t done the mission yourself, you will still get XP for it. Everyone can mark their targets and someone can give the word to fire. If you are all on par with each other then you could easily drop 4 targets at the same time. This makes for some really cool infiltration scenarios. If you are a social butterfly, then you can jump into a public group and get in on the fun.
Anything Else I Should Know About?
There is a ton to talk about with this game. Yes there is a lot to learn, but if you have played shooter games in the past then you will learn quick. The game itself is not so hard that you want to break your controller or keyboard. You can also adjust your difficulty settings at will, which helps you test your limits or get past that trouble spot. Wildlands is a great game and there are some updates that will be released that will make it even better. The game is not without its faults however, which you can read about in our review. If you are still asking is Ghost Recon Wildlands worth it, in my opinion, yes it is. This would be a good game to have in your collection, if nothing else just to drive around and crash helicopters into people.
